Obituary for James F. Barry

Seabrook Beach – James F. Barry, 74, of Seabrook Beach, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home.

He was born February 19, 1941 in Lawrence, Mass., a son of the late Patrick J. and Elizabeth (Quinn) Barry, II.

Mr. Barry graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence and attended Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.

He was employed as an accountant at Marshall’s Department Stores for over 30 years. Prior to this he was employed by Stevens Mills in Andover, Mass.

Since his retirement he was an active member and advisor to the board of the Yankee Fisherman’s Co-Op in Seabrook Beach. He has been a resident of Seabrook Beach since 1974. He enjoyed spending times in North Conway and Frye Island, ME. His favorite pastime was traveling with his wife and watching westerns and sports on television.

He shared 40 years of marriage with his wife, Cornelia M. “Connie” (Barry) Barry.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his son, Robert Barry of Seabrook Beach, his brother, Patrick J. Barry, III and his wife Mary, several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Max.

Visiting hours will be from 10 – 11:30 A.M., Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A prayer service will immediately follow at 11:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
